Jason nodded, perfectly relaxed at the table since he had no idea the train of Blue's thoughts. If he had, needless to say he wouldn't be sitting at the table slightly slouched with his legs spread. But the vampire hadn't made any overt moves yet, so he figured he was safe for the night.
He let out a soft chuckle at her determination. "I promise, I generally eat much better now." A shoulder lifted and fell in a shrug. "I still do hunt every so often, but I leave the dead alone." It was odd for him to be having this sort of conversation in a crowded restaurant. It was both unnerving and comforting, to know that he could be who he was with no judgments. Since no one nearby was listening to them, he could speak plainly. That was...unusual and yet freeing.
Reaching out, he picked up his glass and took a sip, wrinkling his nose at the taste. "Wow, I got jipped on the rum," he murmured. Taking another sip, he decided he'd keep it, and order more rum on the next drink. It wouldn't do to start out with too much alcohol anyways. Arching a brow at Blue, he shook his head. "I don't check out guys." His gaze shifted to the waitress two tables behind his friend. "Though the waitresses here aren't bad looking." For sure, the brunette had killer legs and a nice ass. Remembering his manners, he looked back to Blue, smiling apologetically. Friends or not, he knew better than to check out another woman when already with one.
