Who: Malakai and Addie When: Late Friday night, after curfew Where: Outside on the grounds What: Mal's out for a late night walk and catches Addie outside.
Malakai had really come to like his late night walks around the campus. He was old enough to protect himself, hell, he'd been doing just that for longer than most people could count generations. Walking the grounds by moonlight gave him time to think. Part of it he used to plan his next lesson for his class, and figuring out what was going to be expected on their final. The other part of his time outside he used it to just relax. He hadn't had much time for that over the centuries. Time to sit and breathe, occasionally shift and hunt some of the wildlife in the forest. He knew well enough which were shifters and which were beast, so he was never concerned about accidentally attacking a student. Though his stomach rumbled, he figured he could solve that with a simple gyro back in his apartment, rather than a whole deer.
Turning to head back to his room, he sniffed the air as was his habit, catching scent of a human, and not any of the security. Curious, he followed the scent. Most obvious was the scent of alcohol, smoke and a few illegal substances, but under all that was the smell of winter. As he walked closer to the source, Malakai racked his brain for who it could be that would smell like that. The first answer he came to was Addie, one of the students he sponsored, and that was only because of the human wintery scent. He hadn't met her enough to really get to know her.
Rounding the corner, he wasn't surprised to find his guess right on the mark. "Good evening, Addie. Any reason you're out so late?"
