Who: Peyton and Godric What: Finally answering questions Where: Godric's apartment When: Thursday night Rating: R/language
It had been a tense week in the household. Godric knew he had been being reserved and quiet, and hearing that Peyton had takled to Blake about it had only made it worse. he felt as though he'd failed her completely- as a teacher, sponsor, friend and, much to his own dismay, a parent. He realized that he truly thought of her as a daughter now. That of course made his failing her hurt ten times more.
Blake was wonderful throughout Godric's introversion, though it was very clear that he was reaching the end of his limit. The vampire tried to seem more his usual self, but having Blake talk to Pey, having it that much more obvious how badly he'd screwed up, it didn't make him want to open up any more. Quite the opposite, in fact. Though now, Godric had told Peyton that he would answer her questions, things seemed brighter. And even though he wasn't sure if he could give her satisfactory information, nor did he know the lengths Jack Billings would go to to punish Godric if he ever caught wind of this, Peyton deserved to know the truth.
He should have known that Peyton would come very soon after their talk, but it was still a surprise to see her appear in the kitchen beside him. Thankfully Godric was alone in there at the moment, grading papers at the counter. The shock nearly knocked him off the stool. "God," he said, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Couldn't you have used the door?"
