While Addie was not exactly prone to serious concerns of any kind, she did generally think it was a good idea to protect the earth. She did live on it. Hence recycling when it was available. And she didn't really like bottled water, either. More because of the toxins they leaked into their contents than any other reason. Bottled water worked for today though. She'd get a filtered thing soon as she had settled in.
After a moment of scrutinizing her strange guest, she went over to a box, rifled through it, and pulled out a picture. It was a picture of her and some friends, but she was smiling and flipping off the camera. "Here. Throw darts at it, burn it. Whatever. But if I look that much like her, it'll probably make you feel better." With a shrug, she dismissed his presence. He could go now.

What was scary... was that Kat probably would have fucked Starbuck up the ass sideways if he'd let her. Girl was crazy! She was dominant and liked things rough. It wasn't Starbuck's style at all. Sure, he always got a thrill out of them sparring in the gym, but that was different. The aggression translated into flirting when they were wearing gloves. But when they were alone, in a bed, he didn't want to feel that way. All he ever wanted was to be closer to her, to have her let him inside. She refused to open her heart to him. Nothing more frustrating than loving someone who doesn't want to be loved.
He took a few sips of water and glanced around the room, feeling slightly less uncomfortable now. Starbuck didn't feel the same compulsion to stare at Addie as he had just minutes before. There were a lot of boxes scattered about, some of them open with contents strewn about, others were still sealed.
Addie opened one box as Starbuck was looking the other way, but his attention returned to her as she made some sort of offer. He caught a glimpse of the picture and felt his chest tighten again. Quickly shaking his head and raising his hand to refuse, he offered a polite, "No thank you. It won't make me feel better. I.. I'm trying to change how I deal with.. anger." Absently, he rubbed fingers over some knuckles, remembering when he fucked up his hands after a fight with Kat. He actually broke a few of them by beating the shit out of a punching bag and then that asshole he found in Kat's bed.

Nothing wrong with rough. But even Addie would have thought Kat was one fucked up psycho bitch if she'd known her. And Addie was pretty wild in her own right.
The fact that the staring had ceased was a relief. Now that he wasn't so creepy, the blond could appreciate that he was a pretty damn good looking dude. His eyes were especially attractive. She watched him look around her room and felt a little annoyed. She hadn't even unpacked yet and she was already having uninvited guests. Ok, so she had invited him, but she wouldn't have under normal conditions.
More eye rolling. "Seriously? A good knock-down drag out session always does my attitude a world of good. But then, my brother says I have three emotions: sarcastic, pissed off, and fucked up." Another smile and a shrug of her shoulders. Yes, she noticed his solemn attitude, but that's what humor was for. Why take life seriously? Certainly didn't take itself seriously.
"Ok, so I've got to ask. Why Starbuck? And if you tell me it's from a certain coffee chain, there will be no end to the amount of coffee beans that will be mysteriously delivered to your door." The smile she gave indicated that she in no way believed that this was the source of his namesake.
