Re: Rez/Fisher
Well, yeah, they would probably both drink a ton of other shit and get into some sort of stupid mess before the night was over. That was part of the fun of being young and dumb, right? You lived your life free of too many consequences and, you know, it was cool and shit. Not that either of then could really play the young card too much anymore, but fuck it. You only lived once, or so Rez believed, and you may as well fucking enjoy it while you could.
The thank you took Rez by surprise, and he looked over at the man with a slightly furrowed brow before he smiled. "You're welcome." He laughed, feeling kind of stupid saying that but what else was he supposed to say. "Now drink up before the shit settles." He said, and nodded at the glass in Fisher's hand as he went to work preparing his own.
"You know, some of the most brilliant artistic minds in the world were avid Absinthe drinkers. Like Oscar Wilde, for one." Yeah, Rez was much more learned and deep than most people would give him credit for, but why wouldn't he be when it was a subject that interested him? "He once described absinthe as such; After the first glass, you see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, and that is the most horrible thing in the world." He finished the quote with the grin. "Think that last part is referring to when the high finally wears off."
