In general, Nox didn't handle tears all that well. He wasn't good at comforting women. His logical brain struggled to understand hysteria. But right now he knew well enough to keep his mouth shut and not linger on the sadness and loss Adora was experiencing. He simply grabbed a tissue from the night stand and passed it to her.
Nox smiled when Adora showed him the cookie. "Cookies and flowers. I should have brought gifts, too." Nox gestured to the vase of tulips. "Makes me excited for spring... and for the greenhouse construction to be completed. Katie's going to fill it with all sorts of flowers... then Duncan can bring you fresh ones," he teased, assuming the flowers were from Duncan, having not noticed the note.
