Nox's insides twisted from the look on Adora's face. He hated seeing her in pain, and there was nothing he could do to fix it. Nox felt powerless. He wanted to help so badly, but he couldn't. "I'll stay as long as you'd like." He'd stay in here for a week with her if that's what she wanted.
"I passed Duncan on my way in," he mentioned as casually as possible. "I can go when he gets back.. if you want." Nox wondered if Duncan had any idea what to do or say in this situation. Nox wasn't prepared for it, though he supposed no one ever was. He'd had visions already of what it would be like to spend time with Adora's little girl. He was really looking forward to it, and it was nice to see that Adora felt the same. She was growing into motherhood. He could tell she was genuinely excited about being a mom.
