Thursday, March 13th, 2008 Who: Keagan and Astrid Where: Astrid's room When: Thursday morning, early-ish What: Keagan wakes up and... well, awkwardness and slight naughtiness ensues
Keagan was quite comfortable, once he fell asleep. In his sleep, he forgot where he was. All that mattered was that he was warm and cozy, and his pillow was soft and smelled amazing. His arm was around something radiating warmth and making him want to never have to get up. He snuggled a little closer and buried his nose into the sweet smell.
For a little while, Astrid's dreams had been pretty calm and quiet. But, the stress of the day had given Astrid's subconscious something to really gnaw on. The idea of a spell going wrong seemed to be plaguing her dreams, and Astrid found her breath getting shorter, more stressed as the night wore on. Images of the world exploding in mushroom clouds. People disappearing with a touch of her hand. DId she have that power? What if something went wrong, what if she hurt her friends, no, Keagan needed to get away from her, he shouldn't - Astrid gasped, sitting up in darkness, crying out softly, her free hand reaching out for something, anything in the blank, dead space in front of her. "Keagan!"
The pillow and warm snuggly thing had sat up, so it was no longer warm and where he could snuggle it. "Mmm?"
He moved his arm to grab the warm snuggly thing and pull it back down to snuggle in a very sleepy way.
Astrid felt an arm around her, shaking like a leaf as she panicked a little. Still half asleep, still in pitch-black, she didn't quite know what was going on. So an arm around her didn't make her feel much better.
The warm, snuggly thing was shaking and making sad sounds and it woke Keagan up enough to remember that he'd fallen asleep in Astrid's bed, comforting her after the accident that left her blind. She must have had a bad dream or woken up and couldn't see, "Shhh, Astrid. It's ok. It was just a bad dream..."
Astrid finally heard Keagan's voice, and she slowly started to lay back, whimpering a bit and grabbing hold of him, wrapping him into a hug. She shivered, but was still sleepy, so it didn't take long before her eyes were drifting back closed. But, it was Keagan. He was there, he wasn't.... no, he was fine. She was there. Everyone was there. Thank god.
Keagan pulled her close and petted her hair. He said "Shh" a few more times, but it didn't take him long to fall asleep again. Between 4 and 6 am was when it was hardest to wake him. He snuggled her close and let out a soft, sleepy sigh.
Astrid slept through the morning, until about 9 AM or so. She had only had the one class, and she wasn't going to go, so she didn't feel like she needed to wake up early anyway.Plus, with no way of seeing the light in her bedroom,Astrid didn't have any idea of how long she was sleeping. At some point in the morning, she did roll onto her side, and with something warm at her side, Astrid let one of her legs slide over his. Mmm, hey, there was a body next to her. Astrid found herself beginning to wake up even if she wanted to sleep all day.
Keagan snuggled closer to the warmth in the bed. His hips reflexively rocked forward, a morning sort of ritual he'd suffered since he was 15.
Astrid hummed softly with a little smile on her face, not quite awake enough to realize what was going on. When she felt the rocking aginst her leg, though, Astrid woke up a little more, furrowing her brow. Keagan was still next to her... right? What was he doing... Astrid slid her hand down towards his stomach, and that's when she realized... she was feeling skin. When... did that happen?
Soft hands on his skin were not helping the fact that the only time he had no control over base urges was in dreams.
Astrid felt him squirm under her hand, and she gnawed her bottom lip, debating what to do. She could... theoretically, leave him alone, or... or she could... Astrid's hand slid lower and suddenly touched a tent of fabric. Oooookay, she so knew what that was.
Keagan was having rather nice dreams. Dreams he really had not had since he was a young man. He snuggled closer to Astrid and mumbled something in his sleep that didn't really sound english, but most sleep mumbles dont.
Astrid paused when he moved, wondering if he'd woken up. When she heard him mumble, though, and it make no sense, she figured it had to be that he was still asleep. So... it couldn't hurt her to... play, right? She liked him... she really did. And he was asleep... and... her hand had started to move without her even reminding herself that wasn't a good idea.
