Usually feeling sorry for herself left Dizzy sullen and lost in the depths of blankets and sheets without a will to venture beyond her bedroom door. Though tonight was a little different. Maybe it was the bottle of wine, rather than strong liquor or the fact that the past week had left her in a relatively decent mood despite the desperate start to it. Whatever was to blame, Dizzy was in a far better mood than she had been in some time. Although lights had already gone out and most of her peers were lounging about in their rooms either already asleep or preparing to get there, Dizzy was wandering about the nearly empty hall, bottle of wine still in hand. She'd planned on visiting a friend, someone, anyone she knew, the the majority of those she felt most comfortable with lived on the opposite side of the building.
Silently strolling along in sock covered feet, she sipped from her wine and reached the door she was sure she'd been looking for. Though before she could even knock on the door, the girl had stumbled into it, tripping over her own feet. Regaining her balance as her free hand reached out to grab the frame of the door, the other careful to save her wine, she set her back to the door and slid to the floor to sit. That had been close. She'd almost smacked herself in the head. Or worse, dropped the bottle. Leaning against the door, she hadn't even noticed the noise she'd made against the door, too concerned with her own heart palpitations and the face that she hadn't knocked herself unconscious - and the pure miracle that that was.
It was when the door opened up, that it occurred to her she might have inadvertently knocked. Though this was only dawning on her as she fell back onto the occupant's feet, or right between them, not having been prepared for the surface behind her to move. Face scrunched up in a wince as she hit the floor proceeded by a laugh. Looking up, stupid grin stretched across the lower half of her face, seeing she wasn't alone. "Hi."
