Fox nodded his head in agreement. "I moved around more as a kid than not. I think the longest I stayed in one place was," he broke off to count. "Four years. Not by choice though. It was either attend high school for that long or get thrown in juvie." He shrugged. "I figured I could have more fun outside of the bars than in."
Listening to her order, Fox was rather impressed. Finally, a woman who knew how to appreciate food and eat something other than what should be fed to rabbits. He wanted to tell her as much, but he had the funny feeling that would be a bad thing to say. Waving to get a waitress' attention, Fox took the moment it took her to cross the room to figure out what he wanted. He looked up just as the waitress pulled out a pad and pen. "The lady will have an order of nachos, the Miami Heat burger with plenty of jalapenos, Curry Fries and a Coke. I'll take the Shepard's Pie, Potato Skins and a Coke as well."
Handing the menus to the waitress, he turned back to Cissy. "'So you're pregnant?' conversation?" Really, he wasn't all that interested. If she wanted to get knocked up, that was her deal. It didn't look like it affected him any, but if she wanted to talk, he'd listen.
