Cissy gave a sort of laugh in response to his answer. "Me too, I guess. I mean I say I'm a New York girl but, truth of the matter is I've spent just as much time in Greenland and Chicago as I have the city." She gave a small shrug of her shoulders. "A summer here, a winter there... I don't think I've ever stayed in one place for more than six months at a time." She rolled her eyes. "Aside from when I was an infant, of course."
"Curry Fries. And something to drink." She closed her menu. "I guess just a coke or something." She had never even drank one of those prior to getting pregnant and now, even though it was terrible for her, she had to have one every now and then. Besides, what was a burger and nachos and fries without a coke? She closed her menu and slid it towards the center of the table. And then it struck her, the oddness of the situation. She'd never actually eaten on a date before. She'd always been one of those girls that ordered a salad and barely even picked at that. And here she was, trying out half the menu. Of course given her current condition, he was sure to understand.
Speaking of which...
"So should we just go ahead and get it out the way?" She asked, a brow arching slightly. "That whole.. 'so you're pregnant' conversation?" She had assumed there would be one since he didn't know and, well, if he was out with her he had to probably be mildly curious about the circumstances, right? Or maybe he wasn't curious at all. She just knew that she would be were she in his shoes.
