Thursday, Feb 21 2008 Who: Rae, Jack, and OPEN (to more than one person) When: evening Where: Rec Hall What: The siblings went to movie night for all the nonlycans! Well, Jack WENT, Rae was forced to come along.
Jack had shown up at Rae's room to force her to get dressed and go. So what if it was a little lame to attend a function put together by the school for the kids. At least it meant he could get out of his tiny room! Also, it meant Rae had to sign off the goddamn computer, so he considered it a plus. If the movies completely sucked, at least they could make fun of them together. Mocking things was one of the siblings' favorite activities.
They two arrived together, Jack tall and muscular in a black tee shirt under an open plaid overshirt. His jeans were baggy, but not annoying so, and he wore sneakers and gel. Rather normal for a twenty-something year old man. His sister, however, wore an outfit that looked like a rainbow had vomited, and then she was dipped in tar. The entire back of her shirt was black fishnet -- displaying her purple bra proudly -- and the front was a neon yellow with painted on black streaks, as if silly string had attacked her in a dark alley. Beneath the revealing top she wore black and pink layered crinoline trimmed skirt, and two layers of tights. Beneath the layer of black shredded tights was a similarly colored neon yellow pair of tights, covered in the outlines of stars, swirls, and the like. Her boots came to mid-calf, and were laced all the way up. Unlike Jack, she wore jewelry, and her makeup was just as dramatic as the rest of her.
Jack seemed nonplussed. As they entered, and people looked at Rae, he snickered. He'd pointed out a long time ago how strange it was to call attention to herself when she claimed to not want it. Reminding her now was pointless, they'd have the same conversations multiple times.
"This is going go to suck," Rae said, looking up at him before reaching up to scratch at her scalp. She had teased parts of her wild-girl hair, and the hairspray had made it itchy.
"Probably," Jack said, with a shrug, "but it's something to do. We could go break into the kitchens if OH WAIT YOU DID THAT."
