Tad had no idea, thankfully, of either of the adults finding his comment funny and continued to be impatient as he sat and waited at the table. One fact he'd come to realize again was that adults were slow at eating, especially when they wanted to have a conversation. Argh! He knocked his feet against his chair and used his fork to press some of the remaining food against the plate.
"It is second only to actually being in the water," said Quinn, somehow happy she caught his attention. "All the exotic fish are so wonderful, and so are the sharks. I'm a fan of eels, to be honest; their movement in the water is so graceful - and I also like snakes, so the parallels are nice."
Ciri remembered something she had seen in a book once. "Boa constrictors are beautiful and powerful." The combination was an enticing one, and sometimes it gave her a little power rush. Her size made those hard to come by most of the time.
