Tad knew Duncan was probably right. Fire could do a lot of damage and he didn't want that to happen to the apartment. "OK," he muttered with disappointment. His mood lifted as Duncan told him he could do something else, eager eyes on the older man. He heard Calvin's voice from Duncan's mouth and giggled.
The boy's laughter was infectious and Quinn started to laugh as well. A man of several talents, and no doubt it was handy in theater (or stand-up comedy). "Impressive," she said, "and quite useful. I bet your talent has led to some great times." Her eyes sparkled with amusement and it took a while before she remembered to look at Tad. "I can do a few fun things, but not as good as ventriloquism." She stood from the sofa to find a suitable open area, slipped off her shoes, and stretched a little before doing a backflip.
Ciri returned to the room with Onyx in her arms, just in time to see Quinn do a cartwheel with one hand. A happy laugh escaped her. "Wonderful!" she said quietly because the baby was feeding. Hearing Ciri embarrassed Quinn and the water elemental returned to the sofa. Calvin checked on dinner and, seeing it was done, started to move dishes to the table with his mind.
