Who: James and Lloyd
When: Monday Night
Where: The Bar
What: James has noticed something peculiar about himself and has decided to test out his theory.
James, Cissy and Devon had had a rough couple of days. Sunday had just been strange but Monday morning, when they'd gone back to the apartment, had been even more odd. Apparently they were at a school for supernaturals. And it wasn't a gas leak or CO2 that had caused the problem, because it seemed there were others with similar issues. But James wasn't nearly as concerned about that as he was about the fact that he couldn't stop looking at men and having these... thoughts.
He didn't want to alert Cissy to any of this. He didn't want her to know that he was starting to think that maybe he was... gay. Could it be that it was just because of this spell, or whatever it was, or was he really and truly a homosexual? It was driving him crazy just thinking about it and he couldn't just sit there with her and their little boy and their unborn child watching television when every male body that appeared upon the screen caused him to have very impure thoughts.
"I'm going for a walk." This was how he had announced it. And he had told Cissy not to wait up before kissing her and the boy both goodbye and tugging on his coat to go outside. It was while walking on the grounds that he felt the set of keys in his coat pocket and realized that there was a keyless entry remote attached. Glancing around, he spotted a parking lot and he walked towards it, pushing the button once he was near enough. A Hummer? He drove a Hummer? Well that wasn't very gay, was it?
James wasn't sure where he was going, or why, he only knew that he needed to get out, and it was after about an hour of cruising that he came to a stop in front of a place called "The Bar" which had quite an anomaly going on out front. There were nothing but men in line. He swallowed hard as he considered it and then choked back that fear as he found a place to park, the alarm chirping as it was armed.
The club was loud and crowded and the place smelled slightly musky, like sweat, and, wow, those pants were fabulous. Shaking that thought from his mind, James made his way towards the bar and was greeted with a smooth and feminine voice, produced by quite the fairy of a man, "What can I get for ya, sugar?".
"Tequila. A double. Er, make that a triple. Top shelf." He needed to drink. And while the waiter poured his shots, his gaze began to wander and then settled upon this one particular man towards the other end of the bar. There was something... oddly familiar about him.
The shots were downed once they were brought to him, quickly, James enjoying the burn. He turned his focus towards the dance floor afterward but kept finding his gaze averted. It took him at least a song and a half to work up the nerve, but he finally inhaled a deep breath and moved away from his spot, weaving a path to the man that had caught his eye and greeting him in the most suave way he knew how. "Hey." He had to yell to be heard over the music which was nearly drowned out by the pounding of his heart inside his chest.
