The kiss was... different. It was warm, wet, wonderful. The way he tasted was perfect, the way he teased her with his tongue was as well. And she found herself pressing against him, deepening the kiss as he so urged her to do. Her cheeks were flushed when he pulled away, her tongue darting out to lick her lips before she smiled. "Warm-blooded creatures. So very interesting." Turn about was fair play, after all.
The fact that he didn't let go of her yet he made no attempt to pull her any closer to him only seemed to excite her that much more. She smirked a little and shook her head. "I don't have any of my costumes." They were all still packed away at the apartment. She'd need to pick those up soon, once her apartment was ready, if she even bothered to stick around. She was seriously thinking about leaving. She smirked a little more. "I'm beginning to appreciate the way you think."
His arrogance, his cool confidence, the fact that he seemed so nonchalant about it all, it was maddening. He was exactly the type of man she always seemed to find herself attracted to. Bad boys, some would say, but she didn't agree with that. It had nothing to do with the fact that they were what one might typically group under the heading of "bad", but the fact that they were in control. And she liked a man like that. She craved that sort of thing.
His words were like teasing a smoldering fire with the promise of gasoline, causing it to spark and flicker in anticipation. She swallowed hard, feeling that tension overtake her, that slightly suffocated feeling that she could equate to when she was human and she felt like she couldn't take a deep enough breath. Her pulse, in terms of a vampire, was racing. Eyes locked with his own, she gave the only answer that came to mind, "Good thing I'm not planning on walking much tomorrow."
