Katie was knocked breathless as she hit the wall, her temper flared even hotter. Before she could get enough air in her lungs he was in front of her again. She felt little zaps on her skin like being hit with a static charge. Fear mixed with her fury and something happened to her that she wasn't prepared to deal with. She became insubstantial. Her shape was still apparent but it was now blending with the shadows that filled the hall. She had no idea what was happening to her and she freaked out a little at that point and shoved at Dante's chest, pushing him away from her. "Get the fuck away from me!" she cried her voice a edging toward hysteria.
She crouched down prepared to attack him if he came back towards her. She was pissed off and terrified at the same time. It was as if her body had merged into the shadows and she didn't know how to bring herself back together. She eyed Dante wearily, willing him to stay back. She didn't know what she would do if he came back at her, but she was sure it wouldn't be pleasant.
