Heath was nothing if not a man of his word. He'd talk to Nox. It wasn't like he could say much about it anyway. What happened with Sophia had happened long before he was a staff member and she was a student and now there was Ella and it was inevitable that they were going to be involved. If he didn't like it, well, he could always get a job somewhere in Boston and still have plenty of time to spend with his daughter and Sophia both.
Sophia's protest only made Heath that much more determined to make her laugh, both of them attacking her as she accused them of evil doing. Heath was laughing hard, as was Ella, when he finally collapsed upon the bed beside Sophia and smiled as he watched both of his girls. His girls. He definitely liked the sound of that.
"Ella," Heath said, pushing himself up on his elbows so that he could look at her. "Has anyone ever told you that you just so happen to be the most beautiful girl under eighteen," He glanced at Sophia and grinned before his focus was back on their daughter. "In the entire world?"
