Katie's eyebrows went up at the question. "No I am not dead. You aren't either, as far as I can tell." She knelt down next to him. Looking at him with concern in her eyes. "I'm Katie, do you need me to get the healer for you?" She didn't know what was wrong with him, but something had him terrified and she didn't like it. If he needed the healer she was going to take him with her. There was no way she was leaving him alone, at least until she knew he was alright.
She straitened up again and looked at him. Then she reached out a hand, a silent offer to help him up. "I don't know why you asked if I was dead, but I am very much alive." He looked like he wasn't quite sure if he could believe her, so she just waited patiently. "Come on," she said finally, "Let me help you up and get you out of the tunnels. Maybe you will feel a little better once we are outside."
