Sunday: 1/7/08 - ANNOUNCEMENT
First of all, I'd like to take this opportunity to say welcome back to all those returning from vacations and say hello to those of us joining us for the first time. If any of you have any problems, please let me know. Your sponsors and dorm advisors are also available to help.
Now to take care of some more specific announcements. We've had some staffing changes take place recently, some I've mentioned before, others are new. As most of you are already aware, Miss Olivia Albright left school some time ago, and I've taken over her Latin classes in addition to my own. She hopes to return to her teaching duties in the future, but no timetable has been set. Miss Heather Jao also gave up her teaching position, but she has since returned to school and taken on a new role. She will provide child care services for staff and students alike. Please contact her directly if you wish to sign up a child for this program. Most of you are probably familiar with Mister Wesley Macintyre. He'll continue to work in the infirmary, but starting tomorrow, he'll also be our new healing instructor. For those in that class, you'll be happy to know that Mrs Mari Foreseit had her baby on Christmas Eve, and she has decided to take a break from work and focus on motherhood. Also new in our classrooms, is Miss Cherry Forever. She'll take over the beginner level of Energies & Emotions. The intermediate and advanced classes will be taught by Doctor Aden Grey. For those who love languages, like myself, and would like to learn a variety of them, please welcome Doctor James Fletcher. His classes will be held in the evenings. Please contact him if you have questions. Outside of the classroom, we welcome a new librarian, Miss Meike Jonshan, as well as another member of our security staff, Mister Garret Foss. You'll find photos and brief bios on all our new staff members on the student services page of our website. Please take some time to review this so you're not alarmed by the new faces among us.
Another issue that needs to be addressed, since we have a healthy population of vampires at the school, are changes in class times. Vampire Lore and Bloodlust have both been moved to evenings to better accommodate our light sensitive students and staff members. If anyone has a problem with this new schedule, please let me know, and we'll try to suit your individual needs.
While we're on the topic of changes, some students may have received emails alerting them that they have a new sponsor. Most of these changes were made by me in an effort to make better matches based on personalities and abilities. I understand if some of you are upset with these reassignments, and if you would like a more detailed explanation, please contact me personally.
Finally, a reminder to review your rule book. While I have retired from my career on the police force, and am not out looking for rule breakers, you are all expected to behave, and that includes staff members.
