"I hated you two weeks ago," he answered, looking at her a bit sheepishly. Obviously that was no longer the case. They were gradually reconnecting and though he doubted they'd ever rediscover the sparkle they'd had at first he was willing to see what they could salvage from the wreckage. Word might be extreme but that was the only one he could think to describe their previous tryst. "Don't any more."
She didn't really have to ask. Dessert was Jonah's favourite bit of a three course meal and it was so satisfying. He leant back, rubbing at his stomach and smiling at her as she went to the kitchen. She'd be a good little housewife.
