Pondering this, Calvin said, "I'm sure Dante likes it." This was not the time to teach Tad about the rules when it came to receiving gifts, though he would definitely need to have that conversation before Christmas day. It was not acceptable to show distaste toward a gift because some people shopped, or worked, very hard on gifts. To rudely reject the gift was not okay in society.
"I bet Ciri will love the bracelet," Calvin then told the boy. He had a feeling Ciri would have loved anything she got, for that was just the kind of lady she had turned into.
"I dunno about Dante, though. I doubt he'll stop being your friend just because you gave him a gift. He was probably only shocked. Give him time to come to you, alright? Don't force him to talk because that'll just make him clam up more."
