As he looked into her eyes, she could just tell with every fiber of her being that he was telling her the truth. "I know," she replied, nodding slightly. She couldn't enter a relationship with him if she had even thought for a second that he would ever cheat on her. It hurt too damn much the first time around and she didn't think she could handle going through something like that again.
Even though she was scared right now, she would never run away from him.. she couldn't. Kim cared about him way too much to do that. She was glad he decided to spill his guts now because otherwise Ed's slip-up would've eaten away at her and she wouldn't have been able to bring herself to ask Starbuck about it.
She felt so overwhelmed right now that she did feel like she was going to completely break down. Kim tried to keep her composure, but when he wiped away the tear that had run down her face, her eyes closed and she leaned into his hand slightly, allowing another tear to fall.
When Starbuck leaned in to kiss her, she brought up her other hand to cup his face. She didn't care that the splints were getting tangled in her hair as she kissed him back. All that mattered was that they were together. Another two tears streamed down her face as she pulled away slightly and opened up her eyes. Taking a deep breath, she held his face steady in her hands as she finally let herself say how she felt. "I love you, too."
