A part of her couldn't really blame Starbuck for pushing Ed back. There was only so much someone could take before they had to do something about it and Ed had definitely crossed the line with Starbuck. Still, it wasn't excusable for him to have called Ed a bad brother, but at least Starbuck realized that he wasn't. That was something that was important for her to get across.
Kim didn't like being like this either. It killed her to be so torn on the inside. She just wanted things to go back to the way they were before. Who knows if they ever would, but she would sure as hell try to get them to be that way again. At his teasing, she let out a short, little huff of a laugh, her mouth curving upward a little more than before.
"He is wrong," she agreed quietly. Just because it was hard for her to share some things with Starbuck didn't mean she didn't trust him. She had let her guard down little by little around him and that was something she didn't do with just anyone. Her brows furrowed when he hesitated, wondering what he was going to say. It wasn't until he asked if Ed had said anything to her that her heart started to beat faster again. Kim wasn't one hundred percent sure what he was alluding to, but she had a good idea and it made her a little uneasy. "There.. were a few things.." she said, trailing off. If Ed had just been throwing stuff out there and it wasn't what she was thinking, she didn't want to come right out and say it. She'd feel so stupid if she were wrong. Kim tried to calm herself down, but she couldn't even as she kept her eyes on his face.
