Who: Davia and Sydni
Where: Davia's Office
What: It's the Davia and Sydni Reunion Tour!
When: Friday Afternoon
So far, since having arrived at TJS, things were going pretty great for Davia. Her personal life was nothing short of fantastic and as for her professional life, well, she hadn't really settled into it just yet but she was at least making headway in getting everything prepared for that. She still needed to meet with her sponsor students, but that was all planned out for next week in her head. This week would be dedicated solely to looking over the curriculum and making her lesson plans. Classes didn't start until the following Thursday which gave her plenty of time and, well, she was feeling really good about it all.
She had the media player on her computer on random as she moved around the room putting a few things away. The song that was playing was one of her favorites even though it was an artist she had only recently discovered, Loretta Lynn. And the song was no other than You Ain't Woman Enough (To Take My Man). Davia was singing along to it and even dancing a little, though not really to the song, mostly just figuring out a few steps to the routine that she had been working out inside her head for the dance club.
"Women like you they're a dime a dozen
you can buy 'em anywhere
For you to get to him I'd have to move over
and I'm gonna stand right here
It'll be over my dead body
so get out while you can
Cause you ain't woman enough to take my man"
Davia had just finished her rendition of the chorus and did a little twirl around on one foot when she stopped, an expression crossing her face very similar to one who had just seen a ghost. She had left the door open. She hadn't even thought about closing it because the corridor where her office was housed was pretty much empty. She crossed over to her desk to kill the music real quick. "Hey." She knew she'd see her eventually, but she had thought she'd have some warning, a little bit of time to prepare for it but obviously fate had other plans.
