Go'al'enu relished in the colors as the sun began to set and the stars slowly rose into the sky. During his evening Tai Chi sessions he often pondered if he might ever be able to achieve some state close to the stars. In his own perception, they were, after all, made of elements. Surely that must be some total state for an elemental, to control not just an elemental form, but the very atoms themselves.
It was all just thoughts, however, and as he swept a string of dirt to begin a spiral into the air, he felt footsteps approaching from a distance. He was always conscious of the area around him as he practiced, not wanting to accidentally harm anything, and so he slowly drew his vast sweeps closer to himself, until eventually finishing up his session by lifting the dirt into the sky in a thin column and letting it fall back into place, so that the landscape appeared unscathed. He was always careful not to upset the land, thus why he came to this spot every day.
The sun settled below the horizon, Go'al'enu strode towards the man who had approached, a hand raised in greeting and a smile on his face. As he approached he calmly but firmly spoke out a "hello there" hoping the stranger heard him, and moved to close the distance.
