Waking up that morning had been so much so fast that Terence really just wanted to go back to sleep. Hestia had told him a little bit about what happened, but he really had to see for himself. After shutting his journal on Cho after her clipped response, she had apparently decided that he was scum and she was second best and suddenly the commentator for their matches was talking to a loud girl about it. Terence didn't know when any of it happened or why these people were up so goddamn late, but there it was and he couldn't just ignore it this time. Initially, he considered that he had been the one to make this mess for himself, but she had gotten angry over the one thing he hadn't actually done. They weren't in a relationship, of course, so it wouldn't be cheating if he had been shagging someone else, but he wasn't. He'd been with Hestia and he didn't want to ignore her for some bird who got mad at him because he'd talked about her to his friends. Now, was she justified in that anger? Yeah, probably. However, that wasn't what she ended up the angriest over. After messaging her and telling her to come over, he tossed his journal aside and pressed the heels of his palms into his eyes. What the fuck? Had he known Cho Chang was this crazy he would have left well enough alone, but maybe he should have known. The kinky ones were always crazy. It had just come on suddenly and out of nowhere. As unfortunate as it was, Terence did have a line in what he would put up with, and with at least two people suggesting that she had feelings for him, he knew what he had to do. As loath as he was to do it, because damn she was a good lay. However, it was what he should have done for Oliver. He heard the knock at the door, but he didn't get up to greet her. He remained on the couch with his feet propped up on the coffee table, staring ahead at the fire place. He did, however, pick up his wand and wave it toward the door, allowing it to open for her. |
