Maria was not sure she really wanted to have this conversation. It meant she was going to have to talk about her feelings. Maria thought she had been cordial when it came to the wedding announcement. So the display at the lunch hadn't just been a joke and that was fine. She still didn't think the whole thing had been the best timing but it wasn't like she was mad about them being engaged.
"I'm not mad or upset," Maria said looking at Ginny lingering in the doorway as she rested her back against the counter she placed the dessert on. "I was a little annoyed in your general direction but not mad or upset. I am genuinely happy for you and Harry." Maria started to look at her feet rather than at Ginny because somehow that made things easier. "I just felt that you and Harry were making a mockery of something that is a relatively important thing and that just kind of sucked. But I don't hate that you are engaged or whatever."
