After hearing Seamus and what he had to say, Hannah felt a little more relieved about things. He wasn't angry with her, perhaps disappointed about being made a spectacle of which Hannah could definitely understand. She hadn't intentionally meant to make a spectacle of him, nor herself for that matter, or even her mates. But all it had taken was alcohol and an automatic quill.
Hannah realized right then and there that as much as she had thought she had liked Seamus, it had been more physical than anything. The two of them had undeniable sexual chemistry, but now that was over and Hannah was okay with that, just as Seamus seemed to be okay with it as well.
"Yeah, not going to make a spectacle of you. We had our time and it was great but now it's time to go on with our lives." Hannah agreed with him. Of course, she didn't feel like she was settling for Ernie, or settling for anything really. But she wasn't going to argue with Seamus, or even try to make a big deal out of one word said that she didn't agree with.
"Take care of yourself, Seamus." Hannah managed to smile as she stood up and walked to her front door, opening it for him in a friendly gesture that also said they were finished with their talking.
And once he was gone, Hannah went back to getting ready.
