Cepheus should have just left after talking to Europa. The moment he had read what she had said and had said that she needed him, his concentration was shot. He had become incredibly fidgety and his mother had yelled at him twice already because she had apparently asked him a question and he hadn't heard a single word she had said. Finally she had gotten so frustrated with him that she had told him to just leave as all he was doing was wasting her time. Any other time he would have been upset at her dismissing him in such a way but in this instance he hadn't needed to be told twice. He had gathered his things up as quickly as he could, given his mother a kiss on the cheek even though she was glaring at him like she wanted to murder him and then disapparated without a second thought given to what they had been doing.
A thousand different scenarios had been playing in his head about what could have had happened, what had happened or what was going to happen with Europa. The last time he had seen her she had been crying and if there was one thing that Cepheus could not and would not tolerate it was the women in his life that he cared most about upset and Merlin forbid he saw them cry, that just made it even worse for him. He had seen red for days after she had left and while the conversation he had had with his uncle - albeit he had been drunk - still lingered in the back of his mind he hadn't acted upon it any further. That could very well change though depending on what Europa told him.
"Sit down," he urged her, not at all sure what to make of her words. He needed something to do though and as she sat he went about making a drink for the both of them. "Start at the beginning and tell me what's wrong. Although, I have to admit, if he has hurt you in any sort of way the rest of this night could get very interesting so tell me now if I need to prepare myself for such a thing."
