For the past month, Michael had been a man on a mission. The DA wasn't given him what he wanted or even what he thought was best so he was going rogue to get things done. Some of the girls in the DA might not have liked Molly, but she was kind of brilliant and a good person to work on a food delivery system. Which was probably more important with the new table system. The whole thing was still a lot of bullshit in his humble opinion, but as no one was listening to him, he was just going to find ways to make sure that people were getting quality food. Over the past couple of days, he started to see parts of the castle differently. Common snogging corners were also good places where he might be able to tuck away food, students in the corridors were measured up for how much of a threat they might be. However, keeping people fed was just one piece of his own personal mission. They needed to be more prepared. It was one thing for them to have anti-truth serum on them if they figured out that they were slipped it, but there were other tools that Carrows were willing to use to get information. Ginny Weasley had already fallen victim to the imperius curse, and it was just a matter of time before other suspected DA members did as well. They needed to be able to fight it and the only way to do that was to be able to cast it on each other and practice. Michael knew that would be a hard thing for half of the DA to accept because up until this year it had been an unforgiveable, but they were already making them use the torture curse on animals - unforgiveable didn't really seem to mean anything anymore. Still, if he wanted the DA to take this on he would need support and of the people he was closet to, getting Terry on his side would make for a good advocate. And really, Michael needed Terry on his side after him not being open to recruiting new people. They were better together. It was that simple. And with how crowded the castle was getting, it was best to drag Terry outside for a stroll so they could talk a little more freely. "So I've been thinking about Dark Arts a lot lately," he said as an opening. |
