WHO: Stephen and Lisa WHEN: Saturday, January 19 WHERE: Hogsmeade WHAT: The avoidance comes to an end.
The thought of spending the day in the castle, or even on grounds, was not in any way appealing to Stephen. It was bad enough that the common room had become crowded and noisy. And now everyone was whinging about yesterday's lesson. While he thought it was a stupid idea (then again, it was the Carrows, it shouldn't surprise anyone that it was stupid), he also realized that no one would be able to successfully torture a pet. He assumed they'd been trying to make some sort of statement, but didn't everyone realize you had to want to use an Unforgiveable to have it actually work?
So, as soon as he'd finished breakfast, he'd thrown on his cloak and hurried out of the castle. After checking out with Filch, Stephen started down the path to Hogsmeade. Thankfully, it would be significantly less crowded than usual. He supposed that was one intelligent thing the Carrows had done by restricting passes to those who deserved them.
He needed some new quills and ink so he decided to go to Scrivenshaft's first. Honeydukes could wait. And unfortunately there would be no visit to the Three Broomsticks. Not with Beery there holding court. Plus, if Lucy was going to be in the same vicinity of Bletchley, Stephen wanted no part of it. He pushed open the door and inhaled deeply, enjoying the smell of parchment.
