CHARACTERS: Michael Corner & Anthony Goldstein
SETTING: Quidditch pitch, sometime after this
RATING: PG
SUMMARY: If it's going to come out, Michael wants to tell Anthony rather than have him hear it from someone else.
Maybe he should have told Anthony back when he first Terry, but Michael had hoped it wouldn't come to this. Terry had to know, because Terry needed to help him draw his line in the sand and not go too far. Michael had even gone as far to ask Terry to hex him if it came to that. His morality was gray at best and as things went on Michael was really starting to think that the ends could justify the means. The Death Eaters certainly weren't playing by any sort of honor or moral code. Unlike when he told Terry, he wasn't telling Anthony to help keep him in line. Michael was telling Anthony because he needed to be the one to do it because when it came out (and he didn't believe it could stay secret because it was Hogwarts), he didn't need to give Anthony anymore reason to feel betrayed by him. Dressed for the January weather, Michael had been waiting on the grounds by the broom shed, but after only a few minutes of that he decided that he needed to be doing something. Besides it was just as easy to talk in the air as it was to talk on the ground. |
