Who: Morag and Michael (with Kat MacDougal in the beginning) What: He cashes in her Christmas gift (aka she takes him to dinner) When: Saturday evening Where: Michael's house then wherever he chooses to go
Morag loved her family more than she could possibly say but when they were all gathered in one place the many, many MacDougals quickly became overwhelming so she was happy for any reason to escape. The shopping trip with Padma and Lisa had been fun until they'd put everyone on lockdown and they'd had to leave. Dinner with Michael was sure to be just as enjoyable without the possibility of there being authorities involved.
She still was no more sure of what Michael had up his sleeve than she had been before she'd unraveled the mystery of Michael's rune but she was certainly enjoying the process of figuring it out. She liked puzzles (though she was still adamant in her hatered for riddles) and she liked the process of worrying a problem into place. It was why she loved both Arithmancy and Divination after all.
Kat gave her a funny look as she passed her in the hallway on the way to the floo connected fireplace, "Okay little sister, what's up with the loose hair? You're never without those bloody pig tails."
Morag rolled her eyes at her older sister, "I'm meeting Michael. I promised him dinner for part of his Christmas gift."
Kat in turn raised her eyebrows at Morag, "Mo, are you fooling around with someone and not telling me? You know this is not acceptable."
"No. It's not like that at all," Morag lowered her voice, "Michael got in trouble about a month ago and has been at the 'trouble table' since. It makes me sick that he hasn't had a proper meal so I told him I'd get him something good to eat for Christmas."
Kat shook her head, "Sure, Mo, tell yourself that. I might be a couple of years older than you but Michael Corner already had a reputation as a mini ladies man when I was there. If you're going anywhere with him he's probably not seeing it in a completely platonic way."
It was Morag's turn to roll her eyes, "It isn't like that so don't worry," she didn't tell her sister that it wasn't like that because she wasn't really sure where her head was with boys at the moment because she knew if she said anything at all she would never get to Michael's.
"Look, tell Mum that I probably won't be home until really late and make sure that none of the Nans hear you."
With that she hugged her sister before she could say anything else and headed for the floo. With a few words and a pinch of powder she was on her way to Michael's.
