Heath had only stumbled into the common room 20 minutes ago. He’d been preoccupied with thoughts of the party guests, in particular, Ms Zabini who had been simply stunning. Of course, he had been at the Slug Club party as Amelia’s date, so he was unable to properly express his appreciation of her beauty. It wouldn’t do, after all, to offend his future girlfriend by expressing interest in another woman while she was present. Still, he felt like he was on cloud nine, having even had the opportunity to speak with her. When he saw Lisa sitting by the fire, his thoughts about Ms Zabini were curtailed as he remembered the quest the Stephen the Great had set before him.
“Hi Lisa!” he called out loudly, waving at her with enthusiastic energy. “Don’t move! I’ll be RIGHT BACK!” Scampering through the common room, he made a mad dash for the staircase, taking the steps two at a time. When he reached his dormroom, he practically ran into his trunk, ignoring the look his roommate, Marcus, gave him. “There is a fair maiden waiting for me,” he said as explanation while going through his trunk. The item Stephen had given him had been carefully placed underneath his clothes, as a way to hide it in case anyone was snooping for treasure. Once he’d retrieved it, he left the room at the same speed, arriving back in the common room no sooner than he’d left.
“Lisa, fair Lisa!” Heath called out as trounced over to the couch, sitting down right next to her. The book, which was wrapped in a cloth to obscure it from view, now resting on his lap. “I’m on a quest,” he confided, giving her a grin. “And you are the damsel.” Reaching over, he patted her on the knee, feeling confident she would appreciate his efforts on behalf of Stephen the Great.
