RP: I'm Standing There Date and Time: November 20th, 2001 Characters: Hermione Granger, Fred Weasley and OPEN Location: Shopping Private/Public: Public Rating/Warnings: TBD Summary: Hermione finally breaks down and goes shopping for her flat.
There were many, many things Hermione Granger enjoyed in life - reading good books, learning new things, making new friends, dancing, and so on. Something not included in this list was shopping. Well, beyond the shopping for books and other related supplies. She was overjoyed with that shopping; it was everything beyond that really aggravated her. The main problem was she never knew what to buy that would look halfway decent. Fashion and decorating had never been her strongest forte in life. She passed by but did not flourish as she saw many other girls achieving. Not that she wanted to be some kind of beauty queen or fashion obsessed. Oh no, she had far better things to entertain her time and dedication. However, the time had finally arrived that she really needed to decorate her flat. She hadn’t been there much before her trip and the need to make it a ‘home’ had not been necessary. Now with everything going on, she felt she needed a place that felt like she was safe and belonged.
Sighing deeply, Hermione entered the store with the paint. She decided paint would really spruce the dull flat up. The colour was just the issue as the flat had many rooms and she did not have a clue if every room was supposed to match the previous one. Did the rooms act like the equivalent of a dress and accessories, meaning they had to coincide with one another? Sadly, paint was only the very beginning of this nightmare. One that did not seem to end since there was fabric, appliances and countless other supplies. This was going to take quite awhile, although, it had been a good move to exclude Ron in this. He had the habit of starting to whine when she took too long, or rather when he felt she was taking too long. It really was not her fault there were so many books in publication, and she just had to pick up each one. Therefore, the authors were really at fault.
A rainbow of coloured cans loomed before Hermione, each one making her further doubt this mission. She was in over her head with this. Biting her lower lip, she went to the area that had yellows, which was a bright and cheery colour. No one could have a problem with cheer, could they?
