"A perfect match then," he joked, secure enough in his own intelligence that he didn't feel the need to defend himself. Besides, he sort of thought that's what she was expecting, and found he liked keeping her off center.
"Maybe that was a little overboard," he admitted, but didn't lose his grin. "And I'm grinning at you. Don't know if you've realized this yet, but I'm having a very good time."
He wasn't surprised when she chose the bar, and had to admit she had a point. "Well, most of my extended family is made up of Slytherins, so it's not surprising I think like one at times." He smirked. "Does that make me more or less attractive to you? And you're here because I'm adorable."
