"It's a good thing I prefer a woman with a brain then," he said, grinning. It was the absolute truth too. "It's my men I like mindless." He winked and then laughed out right, hoping she understood he was teasing.
"Are you trying to tell me that I'm overly extravagant with the compliments?" he asked, enjoying the way her eyes sparkled, and tallying another point for himself. He didn't bother to hide his pleased grin, or his amusement at her boundaries fro the evening.
"I can work with drinks," he said as they arrived at the restaurant. He led her inside and then turned to her to ask, "So, would you like a table, or should we play it safe and have a drink at the bar?
