"Time will tell," he said, making no promises. He could count on Lil to act appropriately, but he wasn't at all sure about the rest of the team. He'd threaten them though, and they'd probably behave. They'd tease him for months on end about showing off for a pretty girl, but they'd behave.
"I don't think Hufflepuffs count much in the grand scheme of things." He smirked. "I had fun at their expense on more than one occasion, so I don't think I blame you much." He affected a hurt expression at her continued insistence that she wouldn't come to his rescue. "Oh, you'll care, you just don't know it yet." Somehow over the past half hour, this had become a very serious game. One Mac intended to win.
"Oh, I'd never apologize for that, just for mistaking you for a common groupie," he said keeping his cheerful expression. "The Greek Islands are beautiful this time of year, if you're feeling like a dirty weekend away. My uncle has a villa there we could use. Endless days on the beach, even more endless nights."
