"It means you're intelligent," Mac agreed, eyes drawn to the way her neck was exposed when she brushed back her hair. She had really pretty ears, he thought, and then shook his head. It'd been far too long since he'd been laid if he was thinking about ears.
"Do you know about the Kid-Ditch program?" he asked, beaming at the thought. Really, the number of times he'd had to explain the charity had bordered upon ridiculous. "It's my favorite charity, and if you do decide you want a photo, the price for one is a donation to the holiday fundraiser." He grinned sheepishly. "It was actually my price for being here today. My manager wanted me to charge a fee for my appearance, but I insisted on everything going to Kid-Ditch. Those kids need something fun more than I need more money."
He grinned at her frown, and refused to give the magazines back. "I insist. I don't normally make a faux paus of that kind, and I really do want to make it up to you."
