"Okay, baby, you stay still and I'll do the rest." She pushed off the blankets. The gown was raised off from Terrence body. "There's a magical shield around the burns. Those are third degree burns. You know what that means, Ter?" She watched him nod. "All right."
Kate moved away the gown and looked at the skin. Parts of it were completely lacerated, leaving open flesh exposed. Magic was the only thing preventing infection. "It's already repairing, but I couldn't give you more potions because of the ones for your organ regrowth. You're not going to be able to get that many potions for the pain," she said, gently. "I'm sorry, baby. I'll cast a spell to numb the pain; it's the best I could do." She knew the burns couldn't hurt. With all the nerve ending dead, pain wasn't the issue there.
