Leaving a man speechless was always a top objective for any woman, and Hermione was very pleased she had accomplished this. She would have to remember to thank the girls later on a job well done with the dress. “Thank you,” Hermione said, smiling and taking the flowers from Ron. “These are beautiful.” She returned his kiss before going to put the flowers in some water. They seemed to brighten up the flat a bit more, but that could have been Ron’s presence as well. She had not realized how much she missed him until this very moment. It had seemed like another lifetime when she had last been with him. This made her wonder if Ron felt it to. Did he feel for her as much as she felt for him?
Returning to his side, she gave him a peck on the cheek. It seemed she was unable to stop touching him in some way. “Sounds fancy. You know you didn’t have to go through all this trouble, Ron. I would love anything you do.” She reached out a hand to stroke his face. “Because I love you. I’d go anywhere as long as you are there.” It was probably the mushiest thing she had ever said in her life but it was all true. It shocked her a little at the depth with which she meant all of that. She had known she loved Ron for so long, it had just taken her brain longer to catch up with what her heart already knew was true. The smile on her face had to be rather goofy but she did not care in the least bit. Ron made her that way and she couldn’t have been happier.
