Owl to Marcus Date: 27 September 2001 Characters: Regulus Black, Marcus Flint Location: The sky, and Grimmauld Place (?) Private/Public: Private Rating: Warnings: None Summary: Regulus writes to thank Marcus for the Quidditch tickets Completion: Complete
Regulus had been upset that his conversation with Marcus at the club had been cut short by a fight, but to his surprise, a pair of tickets had arrived by owl before the match. He had gone alone, and used the time to watch the game and listen to the people around him. He had concluded that Quidditch was much more interesting when he was watching Marcus instead of Sirius, and that most people were too complacent in this time. He also had discovered that listening was not the same as talking and he missed human conversation with people he actually liked. There weren't that many of them. He decided to write the one person he did like.
Dear Marcus,
I apologise for taking so long in writing you and thanking you for the Quidditch tickets that you provided. I haven't had so much fun in... well, decades. I'd like to claim exceptional circumstances, but excuses are never acceptable. However, I'd like to make it up to you for such oversight. I hope you'd like to have tea with me this afternoon. Unfortunately, my knowledge of the current world is limited, therefore it will have to be at my house, unless you have a different place in mind. Otherwise, you can have first hand knowledge of Black taste in home furnishing. The address is 12 Grammauld Place.
