Roger fixed his hair, taking one last look in the mirror before heading to his floo and coming out at the other end to his office in Diagon Alley. Looking out the windows he saw a bright fall day, clear air, a light breeze swirling the fallen leaves. He took a deep breath; he loved this time of year. Team try-outs were a booming business for him, every wannabe-star in Wizarding Britain coming to him for a leg up in the audition - as if he could give them one (but it didn't stop him from enjoying a little cushion in his budget with their extra galleons). The season was starting up and the contracts would be rolling in, he knew it.
Floo-calling his secretary, Arzu, he asked her to see him immediately and watched her little skirt flit into the room from the office's lobby. "Good morning, how are you today?" He grinned at her from across the room, still standing with his arms crossed in front of the window. She smiled shyly and said she was doing well, and asked what she could do for him. Forgoing the usual flirting, he said, "Please, have a seat, I need a few letters sent out but I haven't time to do it myself today - once we're finished here I'll be heading out the Harpies' pitch to see some of the new talent and meet with the coaches on contracts for the season openers." She nodded and made a note of his whereabouts for the day before looking back up, signaling he could dictate his letter.
"Miss Weasley, my potions master tells me you're currently working for Marcus Flint at his club in downtown London. I do hope you realize what a waste of your talent that is and you might consider allowing me to speak to the Harpies on your behalf. I'm sure they could use your Chasing skills in the coming season. Best Wishes, and so on," he finished with a flourish of his hand.
Sighing and sitting in the large leather wing-back behind his desk he said dramatically, "You'd think they'd realize I'm only trying to help them. Really, ungrateful is what it is." He gave her a daring smile and stood, "That is quite the short skirt you've got on today," he stalked toward her and then dove, kissing up her neck to her giggling delight. "Perhaps I don't need to leave, just yet," he said, before spelling the curtains shut and removing his suit coat.
Miss Weasley,
My potions master tells me you're currently working for Marcus Flint at his club in downtown London. I do hope you realize what a waste of your talent that is and you might consider allowing me to speak to the Harpies on your behalf. I'm sure they could use your Chasing skills in the coming season.
Best Wishes,
Roger Finn Davies, Agent
