"It's better than nothing. The weres really need it. If they didn't have it, it would take them weeks to recover from a full moon. Some of them only need an hour or two." Others required a whole day to ice themselves down, and relax. "When my dad was a kid, well my age, he used to shift into a dingo, go into other villages... steal stuff, and one day he got shot in the foot. The farmer was a bloody terrible shot, thank goodness. After that, he wouldn't change into anything wild." In fact, it had only been after he caught Ian taking on the same form, that he had finally learned just why his father never shifted into anything predatory. That story had always been in the back on his mind when he went to go wander around. Everything that happened to you, it carried back over, any bite you suffered from another animal, any time you got caught up on something. There was no avoiding it, it would cause you just as much pain once you were in human form, as it had in animal form. " Hope that you never do," He honestly couldn't have been more sincere about anything, than he was at that moment. "Did she? Oh... right, you said she doesn't have a filter." Seemed to be a pretty gruesome thing to share with a friend, to recall all of the nasty little things that the body went through, the pain, the sounds... if it were him, he honestly didn't think he could recount all of it to someone else. "Sophie told me that right before the transformation is complete, that something kicks in, adrenaline, probably, and it doesn't hurt anymore." That was usually when memory was tossed to the wayside as well. That chemical reaction unleashed the animals completely, and tucked the human safely away inside.
Looking at him now, it wasn't impossible to see the little boy he must have been all those years ago. Short, just as wiry, with springy black curls covering his head. The same glint in his eyes present, while he drove his parents crazy. Ian was no more guilty than any other child, he had simply had more freedom, been a bit more spoiled, seeing as he had no other siblings. The brief headaches he caused his parents weren't long held against him, they adored their son, always had, and likely always would. The only real problem they faced, was their positions. She seated, and he perched on the arm rest, his back twisted some what uncomfortable to reach her. Little things like that could be tolerated, pushed from mind when you were really getting a good one laid on you, and so he did. The little twinge he had began to feel along his spin, it wasn't going to stop him from deepening the kiss as well. Just as he envied weres, and their healing ability, he envied that vampires didn't need to breath. They never felt that burn in their lungs, or no longer didn't. It was the only thing that could have coaxed him back at that moment. "I think that was a good thank you," Smiling, he brushed her hair from her shoulders, before pressing another kiss to the top of her lips. "You taste bloody good right now as well."
