"I've got a friend who moved here just for the hash, so he's taken me to all the really good shops here." It had been an excellent way to be cheered up, after things fell apart with his ex. Just spend an entire week eating your way through Amsterdam's best cannabis eateries. "The best sort of stoned, the harmless stoned. All natural, all good fun. They even had absinthe, which is bloody amazing, if you've never had it." This really wasn't the town to live in, if you were uptight, not with the culture that had been in place for what seemed like forever now. Ian didn't do anything extremely. A little bit of wine, and beer, and a little bit of hash from time to time. Nothing crazy, just a good way to relax, and unwind after being on your feet all day long. "It's all pretty inventive stuff." The follower of a movement that had began years ago, and steadily gained steam as time went on. "I... would think that this is a date, tonight. Maybe one that's more about the getting to know one another, rather than overcast with forced romanticism. Asking you out again might be jumping the gun, but I've already done it, so, you can say yes." Grinning, he lifted a piece of bread from the center plate, before picking off a few small pieces.
Ian couldn't help but laugh at her so boldly honest answer, "That's probably the way it is with most of that stuff. Science just isn't for everyone." Explaining it all out probably left quite a lot to be desired as far as entertainment went, but the end result was always intriguing. "No joke? That's bloody cool. That would be something to promote supernaturals with. It could be a poster reading 'Look, we're not all bad! One of us helped improve cancer treatments.' Though, I doubt your dad would want to be the poster child. Might as well put a target on his back." It would be a great achievement for her father, bringing politics into it would just spoil that. "I don't know much about Visigoth." He admitted. "We've all heard of it, of course, but you don't technically work for them. What sort of things do you do for the vampire?" It was funny to think that a vampire/muse would have a busy enough schedule, that an assistant would be needed. "Wow, they must be well off to send a guard out... well, yeah they would be, owning Visigoth." Ian was making a mental note to ask more about the company later, as he knew that one of his buddies dated a woman employed there. The demon had been at one of the companies gala's, did that mean he was maybe working along side of them? Curiosity aside, he kept the question to himself. "Demons are a bit strange, he's really old, isn't he? I heard that only the old ones can mimic like that. It's not easy, I couldn't imagine mimicking a human." That took a lot of power, humans were a great deal more complex than animals. Imprinting from them couldn't have been a simple matter to undertake. "No, no that wouldn't bother me in the least. I can't cook, but I know really good restaurants." That was how he had survived at first, before finally decided that his food cost each month was becoming insane. Still, he wasn't skilled enough to cook for anyone, but himself. "A lesson would be nice, yeah. We could have it at my place, so you're kitchen isn't always getting messed up." It would be fair that way as well. "I love my bike, yeah, don't really care about anyone else's, but I love mine." He grinned, his eyes going up, as he tried to think of what else he filled his time with. "Love being outside, I go hiking a lot, love to travel. I enjoy humanitarian work. I've helped build hospitals in Africa," That was how he had met his ex, she had been in charge of the group. "What about you?"
