"You will? Cool, yeah.... whenever you like." It was clear that he was pleased she had agreed to go to dinner with him, he hadn't been so sure his line would work. "Do you want me to give you a ride back to your car, or maybe just take you home?"
Jun lifted her hands in surrender, agreeing to back off of the subject, if that's what he wanted, and obviously it was. That was a heavy topic, and not something you just jumped into discussing. "Maybe not yet, but you'll get there eventually, and... yeah, I'm here when you want to talk about it. If you want to talk about it." The only thing she could do, was offer him up a ear, and a shoulder if he needed it. Juniper wasn't ready to close any doors between them, he had had enough people do that to him lately. It seemed there were at least a few new people in his life, how else would he be getting these drugs? Jun wanted to be at least one of the few positive influences he had left. "It's not exactly something I run around detailing to people," Smiling, she rubbed her hands together, banishing away all the memories that had come to the forefront of her mind. "It really, really, really hurts. At some point, the beast takes over, the human blacks out, and you stop feeling it, and you can't remember shit past that point.... there's a reason the cells in the abasement are sound proof, it's so everyone else won't have to hear the yelling." And all the ruckus the beast made, once it had finally made an appearance. "I know you did, and I appreciated it, but... yeah, there wasn't anything you could do, and I didn't want to risk hurting you. But you did a lot, Cal. You're like the only guy who didn't look at me like I was a freak the morning after a change. You wouldn't avoid me like the plague, you'd come, and cuddle with me. That meant the fucking world to me." Some things you had to face on your own, unless you had a partner that went through the same thing that you did. Seeing as Cal didn't, and hopefully never would, it was better that he just kept a distance when it came time for it. "If I can get her to talk to me, I'll ask what's been going on." Eden might not have told Cal, but she, and Jun had always told one another everything, and even with things having changed, she thought there was a good chance they could be open with each other. Slipping off to her bedroom once again, she changed out of her costume, and hung it neatly back into her closet. Instead of bothering with a whole outfit, she pulled on a pair of boxer shorts, and a white tank top, and returned to the kitchen. Even if he wanted a ride some where, she could put on shoes, and be covered enough for a ride. "I texted Eden, but I haven't got anything back yet."
