"There's a reason I never had any desire to turn someone, I simply don't have the patients to be a mother. Shannon has become like a rebellious teenager... as if he wasn't enough of one when he was actually a teenager." Not even in her living had she been able to see herself as someones mother. That just wasn't in her, and it certainly hadn't changed now, but sometimes you didn't have a choice in matters, and so they were simply having to tolerate the change in their once pet. "Of course it is, this is only the begging, and as they say, it always gets worse, before it gets better." It was going to be hell on earth, but at least they knew to prepare for it. Vivian felt a great deal of sympathy for those younger supernaturals who wouldn't have any idea how to conduct themselves during these times. Had this happened fifty years ago, when she was newly turned, she would have been at a loss. Perhaps Halcyon would have been a safe haven, or maybe she really would have sought the company of her sire. Henry would have been more than capable of protecting her, that was one of the only positive things she could say about her late sire. A very light smile appeared then, as Jaida began to voice her concerns. "He is the best, but I think that's why I would rather have him at the house at all times. If something were to happen there, he would be able to advice all the others. I fear they might fall apart without him. His eldest son Adam would be suitable, he is his father's right hand." Now, with that said, there was still the matter of who would be protecting Jaida. "You'll have to have someone as well, J. I won't assign anyone to you, because I know how picky you can be about company." Anyone who might annoy her wouldn't do, she would send them right off, and then the whole purpose of protection would be lost. "You're right, we're free for right now," Who was to say that wouldn't change with the current state of the world. "I'm going to refuse the post. I'll offer to help from the side lines, but I'm not going to leave." Vivian would offer to do fundraising, or something of that nature, but as far as leaving Jaida, and their home, and her work, she didn't think this was the best time to do so. "I do try," Shameless, or not, some things just didn't seem quite as fetching, when draped over the human body, sometimes it was just better to leave it bare. "How about I take the rest of the night off, we go home, have a hot tub, and then... hang out in the hammock for a while?"
"I wouldn't worry, she's probably fine. Probably looking for you." At least, that was what Ian was hoping for. If not, Eden would be in for a nasty surprise. "If you don't hear from her tonight, you may want to contact the authorities, let them know what happened, but obviously omit what the two of you are, and me as well, obviously." As it stood, if her friend was fine, he couldn't see the point of calling it in, it's not as though they would ever be able to track down the people who attacked them. Even if they did, once they started asking questions, and discovered the reason for the attack, they would likely just ship them out of the city. If they didn't hand them over to the supernaturals to be dealt with. Really, people didn't know what they were getting into, when they came to Amsterdam, looking to cause trouble. "Nothing good, that's for sure. If they continue on acting like they are, they'll get what's coming to them. It's only a matter of time." There wasn't anything he would put past radicals like that. Whatever dark, devious thing that came to mind, he would think them more than capable of. "It was a lucky guess. Most other supernaturals wouldn't be able to pinpoint what you are. They would just know that there was something different. Most of the races have adapted to blend in with humans, the older ones, they'll be the ones who have trouble hiding what they are. Vampires, demons with physical traits, etc." The list could go on, and on, but she knew where he was going. "Nah, just a football fan. I've got hooligan friends, and I can only tolerate them for so long. I couldn't live that all the time, it would be too much to stand."
