"If you have no other choice..." Sometimes you just couldn't sleep, or she couldn't at least. "My brain goes into over time, and it just will not shut off at night. I do the tea sometime, but I don't like the way human medication makes me feel. It just doesn't feel compatible." It had always been that way for her. Over the counter drugs had never suited her, and it was only when she absolutely had to see one of the OSI doctors, that she actually went. Aches and pains were nothing, not getting enough sleep, she could deal. After a while, her mind would calm again, and she would again be able to hit the pillow. Turning back around, she rested her elbow on the bar top, and then laid her head in the palm of her hand, her face going a little dreamy, as she nodded in agreement. "I know just what you mean. Flying would be good right now. Well, not right now, because I've had a few to drink, and I'll probably fall out the sky, and then you'll have to get a new partner." Which really wouldn't be fun for either of them, so for tonight she would just keep her feet on the ground. "Thank you." Gabe's honesty was more than sweet sometimes, as he said things that most men wouldn't say, because they either didn't notice, or because they saved those sorts of lines for picking up on a woman. Gabe wasn't looking to pick her up, she knew that to be fact. The fondness in place, it didn't extend past friendship. "That's a good thing though. You'll always look young. Trust me, that beats getting older." He would always have the baby face, but he at least wouldn't be facing a good twenty years full of job related pains.
"I checked right before I left the hotel." It would have been smart to avoid the emails they both knew would be coming down on their heads in a short while, but she was a bit of a glutton for punishment, she just would rather just get them out of the way, and move on. The anticipation was far worse than the actual punishment. "It is. This photo was taken twenty years ago, more or less. Weres age some, slowly. He still looks like he is in his twenties, but he's probably close to forty now." In fact, she was fairly sure that was just what his profile has said. "If we're lucky, he isn't here to start trouble. He could just be like everyone else, having moved here, because this is the place to be." For the supernaturals, especially ones like this Ramsey, it was the perfect place to reconnect to your own kind. "He isn't wearing a wedding ring... you know, he was one of us, and so we should probably stop starring at him, he'll notice, and then we'll likely be in for more trouble than we need right now." Grinning, Anais forced herself to ignore the were, focusing her attention on her drink. "No... no. I think I'll let it remain a mystery." She wasn't good at the meeting new people thing, especially not when there was potential for something other than work. "Do you ever date, Gabe?" They hadn't been working together long, and they had been pretty damn busy in that time, but she had never gotten the impression that he was seeing anyone.
