"Well, no... I'm afraid Shannon might pull the same shit again, and drive him to a really dark place, with something he says, or does. I mean, he's done it before, and people usually repeat themselves. Once a big old asshole, always a big old asshole.... Shannon is a fucking snake, sorry Ian, you're about to get an earful... he lays low, makes himself look harmless, and charming, blah, blah, blah. You know how he is. Then when the time is right, he strikes, and is just one huge destructive force. He fucks everything up his path. You can understand why I don't want my boyfriend, and soon my family in the way of all of that." Callum was giving his brother this chance, but you better believe that if he fucked things up again, it would be the last time. There wouldn't be a moment to just slink off, and let the wreckage burn in your wake. No, she would finish what she started in the hospital waiting room. "I don't know. Maybe it's because they are both vampires now. I'm only going to be in his life for so long, a short while, but his brother is always going to be the fuck around." Maybe getting over those hardships now, rather than later would make eternity with one another easier to deal with. "My fucking thoughts exactly, and I told him you had the right to kick his ass if you wanted. But he said he told him, because he was afraid he would hear it from someone else, and blow his top. Better coming from his brother, I guess." Jun gave her shoulders a light shrug, her hand resting over the curve of her stomach. "Cal said it wasn't pretty..."
Mother hening someone was one thing, but Jaida had threatened to end him, Vallis be damned. That went a bit beyond just disliking someone. If she had it her way, he would no longer exist. Period. It didn't exactly help that he talked shit to her whenever she started pressing his buttons, but it was only when she started up first, when he hadn't been doing anything. "I don't know about that, man. Vivian isn't keen on me, but she's putting up with me. And, looks can be deceiving." Vivian had a very imposing image that she cut, there was darkness in her, she didn't bother to hide it. Jaida was just as capable of cruelty, she was only better at concealing it. "Average ones are usually the ones who turn out to be the biggest weirdos." Didn't you always hear about these serial killer blokes, and how on the outside, to everyone who knew them, they just seemed totally and completely normal. Not that it applied here, but there was probably more to Ian than met the eye. "You just treat them like they rule the world, because they fucking do." Girls brought on all these complications, not to mention sass. For his first child, his only child, a boy was best. "You'll be praying he isn't like me, Cal." Shannon grinned, giving his head a little shake, before handing the photo back over to him. At least having met his father now, Shannon knew that being a seer wasn't something Cal's child might have to deal with.
